Sustainability
and Accessibility
Since 2020, Stazione Leopolda Srl has embarked on a path to improve its own operations, as well as those of its suppliers and clients, in terms of environmental, social, and economic sustainability, with the goal of obtaining certification as a sustainable event venue under the international ISO 20121 standard.
Stazione Leopolda has thus become a platform for those wishing to organize events guided by principles of environmental and social responsibility.
This initiative reflects the ongoing evolution of Stazione Leopolda as an international reference point for hosting events in a unique and sustainable space, while also contributing to the creation of direct and indirect economic and employment benefits in the local community.
Owned by Pitti Immagine, the Florence exhibition space is among the first venues in Italy to achieve ISO 20121 certification, thanks to practices such as eco-friendly setups, short supply chains, public transport use, and waste separation.
Stazione Leopolda shares its core values and principles with its owner, Pitti Immagine, including innovation, research, independence, expertise, and an international outlook. In addition, Stazione Leopolda has adopted the principles of UNI ISO 20121 as part of its certification process:
Transparency
The willingness to share information, practical experiences, and best practices with stakeholders regarding social and environmental objectives and results.
Inclusivity
The commitment to listen to and meaningfully involve all stakeholders, without exclusions.
Integrity
The ability to honor promises and commitments made to all interested parties.
Protection
Attentiveness to the expectations and rights of stakeholders, along with awareness and responsibility for the impact of every action undertaken.

Accessibility
In addition to being ISO 20121 certified, Stazione Leopolda also complies with the Minimum Environmental Criteria for events, as defined by the Italian Ministry of the Environment for event venues.
The specific criteria are as follows:
- Be reachable via public transportation.
- Be accessible and usable independently, comfortably, and safely by all people with disabilities or specific needs, allowing them to move throughout the event space and fully participate in the event.
- Use electricity produced from renewable sources, or for this site, enter into a supply contract for energy from renewable sources.
- Comply with noise regulations issued by the Municipality in the authorization for temporary events, pursuant to Law No. 447 of October 26, 1995, by presenting a thorough acoustic impact assessment and adopting all possible technical and procedural measures to minimize disturbance, especially near acoustically sensitive areas (retirement homes, hospitals, residential areas, mountain huts, protected natural areas, etc.).
