RIVESTIMI

Denise Bonapace and Peter Bottazzi on the occasion of Vintage Selection n.19 will be present at Stazione Leopolda with the project RIVESTIMI , promoted by Tesmapri and Conau (national consortium of used clothes and accessories),
with the participation of the national society of technology research
Next Technology Tecnotessile.

RIVESTIMI,the project finds its origin from the discovery of the common theme
billè(french) included either in the word “clothing” either in the verb“to live”
infact : the clothing it’s a moving space to transport and incorporate,
to wear and thru which we comunicate and we live.

The project begins with the rescue of disused clothes, soon after they receive
a treatment against smog. The clothes change their original function to create
urban sensibilitation regarding the reuse of the things that are around us.
In this project clothes and environment will now interact in a new way, it will
take place a real textile architecture where the dress will not belong anymore
to a single person but to the community.

The designers will realize in Florence an ideal continuation of Stazione
Leopolda’s facade with a final development of 35 mt of lenght and 6 mt high,
as a consequence of the sewing and assembly of about 400 pants and 800 ties:
a huge textile openwork to promenade and to lose yourself in.

BUY WINE

16-17 february

CHIANTI CLASSICO COLLECTION 2012

20-22 february 2012

The “Collection” grows from two to three days to devote an entire one to the trade

This year, too, the stars will be the hundreds of bottles of Chianti Classico being sampled at the event devoted to one of the world’s most prestigious wine territories. The “Chianti Classico Collection 2012” will be held as usual at the Stazione Leopolda in Florence, where the latest vintages and most important news will be presented to the wine press and trade.
In its nineteenth edition, the “Collection” will be held for three days instead of two.
So the kickoff is scheduled for 9:30 am on Monday, February 20, for a session dedicated entirely to sector operators that will end at 6:30 pm. On this day the public will be able to meet with the 150-odd wineries present to taste the latest Chianti Classico vintages and barrel previews of the 2011, plus the 2011 olive oil at the stands of the producers belonging to the Chianti Classico DOP Olive Oil Consortium.
The next day (Tuesday, February 21) it will be the turn of Italian and international wine writers, who will taste the wines from participating wineries but without the presence of the vintners, who will return the following day to meet with them.
Again this year there will be more than 200 journalists from 29 different European and non-European countries: Italy, Denmark, Spain, Germany, Great Britain, Poland, Serbia, Holland, the Czech Republic, Russia, Sweden, Norway, Austria, Ukraine, Finland, France, Belgium, Greece, Switzerland, Croatia, the USA, Japan, Canada, China, South Korea, Australia, India, Israel and Brazil.
While the press is admitted by invitation only, sector operators can register for the event using the form found at www.chianticlassicocollection.it from mid-January on.
